Black-naped Monarch(クロエリヒタキ) at its Nest

Black-naped Monarch [Hypothymis azurea]
is an uncommon Resident bird in Sri Lanka, found in Dry Low-land to mid hills forests

Comparatively be found more in wet zone

It’s coming from flycatcher family and very active. 

Male is blue color with a white belly and has a black color patch on the Nape. 

Female is dull blue color head with brownish back, wings and tail

Habitat is Wooded areas and adjoining home gardens.
